Broken Grub after Kernel Update on Centos5 or RHEL5 with Fakeraid

Boot into rescue mode, and let it automatically mount your harddrive.

chroot /mnt/sysimage
 cd /boot/grub
 grub
 grub> setup (hd0) (hd1,0)

or

grub> setup (hd1) (hd1,0)

One of the two choices above should work, since it appears that the grub needs to be installed on one of the fakeraid disks, not just the generic volume created by the array.
